Prenatal Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding Class for Doulas
This class was created with the purpose of introducing breast/chest feeding to birth and postpartum doulas. As doulas, we are often one of the first professionals able to assist our clients with feeding their babies in the first few hours/weeks/months. Because of this, it is important that we know how to best support them in their breast/chest feeding journey, within the scope of a doula, as well as know when to refer out to a healthcare provider or IBCLC.
In this approach to learning about how best to support new parents in feeding their babies with human milk, there will be very little lecture and lots of discussions about real life as it pertains to feeding your baby.
** This class meets the Breastfeeding Education requirements for Birth & Postpartum Doulas certifying with DONA (Doulas of North America) **
